Conector D-sub (15 pines) ShiverPeaks 79115-1 – interfaz serie/paralelo de 15 pines

ShiverPeaks D-sub 15-pin connector model 79115-1 is a compact 15-pin interface designed for serial and parallel signal connections. It follows the standard SUB-D form factor to provide reliable male/female mating for data, control and peripheral links in industrial, audiovisual and computing equipment. The connector is intended for cable assemblies, panel mounts and device interconnections where a stable 15-pin D-sub interface is required.

Advantages

The connector offers a compact, standardized 15-pin layout that ensures compatibility with a wide range of serial and parallel devices. Its construction supports secure mating and stable electrical contact, reducing intermittent connections in applications with vibration or frequent plugging. The design is suitable for solder-style cable termination and for integration into harnesses or panel-mounted interfaces, providing a predictable electrical path for signal and control lines.

Suitable for

• Serial data links (RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 compatible wiring)
• Parallel control and peripheral connections
• Audio-visual equipment interconnects
• Industrial control panels and instrumentation
• Cable assemblies and custom wiring harnesses

Key specifications

• Connector type: D-sub 15-pin (SUB-D, 15 pins)
• Contact arrangement: 15 contacts in standard D-sub layout
• Termination style: solder cup / solder-style cable termination suitable for manual or reflow soldering
• Mounting options: cable-mounted and panel-mounted applications
• Gender options: male and female mating available in typical D-sub pairs
• Operating use: signal and control line transmission in serial and parallel interfaces

How to use

Prepare the cable conductors by stripping insulation to the length appropriate for the solder cups. Tin the wires as needed, then insert each conductor into the corresponding solder cup according to the wiring diagram for the intended serial or parallel protocol. Securely solder each connection, inspect joints for cold-solder issues, and assemble any insulators or strain reliefs provided. For panel installations, align the connector with the panel cutout and fasten using the mounting hardware; verify that mating connectors engage cleanly and that thumbscrews or locking mechanisms are tightened to prevent movement.

Recommendations

Use appropriate cable shielding and grounding practices for noise-sensitive signal lines, and follow the wiring standard of the connected equipment to ensure correct pin assignments. Avoid excessive bending at the solder termination area and ensure strain relief is applied to prevent mechanical stress on solder joints.
