Replacement ASF roller assembly D002DT001 for document feeder (BH17) is a service part designed to restore reliable sheet pickup and separation in compatible Brother multifunction devices. The assembly replaces worn or damaged rollers within the automatic sheet feeder (ASF), improving sheet transport, reducing misfeeds and paper jams, and helping to maintain consistent scanning and copying performance.

Advantages

The roller assembly provides renewed traction and consistent paper separation without requiring full unit replacement. It is designed to fit the specified Brother document feeder configuration, offering a cost-effective repair option that reduces downtime. Installation returns the feeder to expected operational behavior and helps prevent repeated feed errors caused by roller wear or contamination.

Suitable for

• Repairing paper feed and separation problems in the document feeder
• Routine maintenance to restore feeder performance after extensive use
• Service technicians replacing worn ASF components during device servicing
• Resolving recurring jams and misfeeds in compatible Brother multifunction devices

Key specifications

• Component type: Automatic sheet feeder (ASF) roller assembly
• Function: Sheet pickup, separation and transport within the document feeder
• Compatibility: Designed for specified Brother document feeder models that use this assembly format
• Material characteristics: friction surface optimized for paper handling (rubber or elastomeric surface)

Close the feeder access, power on the device and run a feeder test to verify correct paper pickup and transport. If service documentation is available, follow the manufacturer’s step-by-step guidance for safe removal and installation.

Recommendations

Use the roller assembly in accordance with scheduled maintenance intervals and replace the part if visible wear, glazing, or contamination is present. Clean surrounding feed paths and pick rollers with appropriate cleaning materials before installation to maximize service life and reduce the likelihood of further misfeeds.
