Cortacables manual Knipex KP-7502125

The Knipex KP-7502125 hand cable cutter is a compact precision tool for cutting small to medium electrical cables. At 125 mm overall length and weighing approximately 80 g, this cutter combines a steel cutting head with durable plastic handles finished in red for easy identification. Its compact size and ergonomic shape make it suitable for tasks where access is limited and controlled, accurate cuts are required.

Advantages

The cutter offers a balanced combination of cutting performance and portability. Hardened steel cutting edges provide clean, reliable cuts while the lightweight construction reduces hand fatigue during repeated use. The ergonomic red handle improves grip and handling precision, and the compact 125 mm length allows comfortable operation in confined spaces where larger tools would be impractical.

Suitable for

• Cutting insulated copper and aluminium wires of small to medium diameter
• Electrical installation work in confined spaces such as junction boxes and control cabinets
• Maintenance and repair tasks for household and industrial equipment
• Hobbyist and DIY electrical projects requiring precise cable cuts

Key specifications

• Overall length: 125 mm
• Weight: approx. 80 g
• Construction: steel cutting head with durable plastic handles
• Handle color: red
• Cutting function: manual cable cutting for small to medium cables

How to use

Position the cable between the cutting edges and apply steady pressure on the handles until the cable is severed. For insulated cables, ensure the insulation is supported close to the cut to achieve a clean edge. Use controlled, even force to avoid crushing the conductor when making a precise cut. Inspect the cutting edges before use and remove any debris that could affect cut quality.

Recommendations

For safe and effective use, select the correct cable cutter for the conductor size, wear protective eyewear and gloves when working with live circuits (after power is isolated), and store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion of the cutting edges.
