Cuerda de escalada Edelrid 9,8 mm Rojo, 70 m, Poliamida, 1 ud.

Climbing rope Edelrid 9.8 mm Red, 70 m, polyamide, 1 pc is a single dynamic climbing line designed for sport climbing, mountaineering and rope access where a 9.8 mm single rope is required. The rope is made from polyamide and supplied in a 70 m length. It is produced in Germany and intended for use with standard belay and rappel systems. Thermo Shield treatment on the sheath improves handling and abrasion resistance while the relatively narrow 9.8 mm diameter keeps weight and bulk low for transport and extended use.

Advantages

The rope combines a compact 9.8 mm diameter with a full 70 m length, offering a balance between low weight and usable rope length. Thermo Shield treatment enhances sheath stability and reduces friction in belay devices, improving smoothness during hauling and lowering. Construction in polyamide provides proven flexibility, shock absorption and durability suitable for repeated use in climbing and mountaineering environments. Manufactured in Germany to consistent production standards.

How to use

Before each use inspect the full length of the rope for cuts, abrasions, flat spots or contamination. Use appropriate belay devices and anchors rated for climbing; follow manufacturer instructions for those devices. When leading or top-roping, pay attention to rope management to avoid excessive wear at edges and through hardware. After use, clean the rope according to the manufacturer's guidelines for polyamide ropes, store it dry and away from UV exposure and chemicals, and retire the rope if it shows significant damage or after manufacturer-recommended lifetime or falls.

Recommendations

Use this 9.8 mm Edelrid rope with compatible single-rope belay devices and harnesses. Pair the rope with appropriate edge protection on sharp terrain, avoid dragging it over abrasive surfaces, and follow care instructions to maintain handling and safety performance.
