Delock 3.5" Bahía extraíble para 1 x 2.5" SATA HDD / SSD (47224)

The DeLOCK 47224 is a 2.5" storage drive enclosure designed to house a single 2.5" SATA hard disk or SSD. The frame fits into a standard 3.5" drive bay, allowing installation into a 3.5" slot or a 5.25" mobile rack. The enclosure supports internal SATA connection or external connection via a Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port when using an appropriate cable.

Advantages

This mobile rack provides tool-free insertion of a 2.5" SATA drive into a 3.5" form factor frame and supports hot-swap operation for quick drive replacement. It is compatible with standard 2.5" SATA drives and enables data transfer at SATA speeds when connected internally. The black finish matches typical PC interiors and the compact design simplifies storage expansion or backup tasks.

Suitable for

• Expanding internal storage with a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD
• Quickly swapping or transporting a single 2.5" drive
• Using a 2.5" drive externally via a Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port

Key specifications

• Model: DeLOCK 47224
• Drive bay: accepts one 2.5" SATA drive
• Form factor: fits a 3.5" bay (also suitable for 5.25" mobile racks)
• Interface: internal SATA; external via Power Over eSATA (requires compatible eSATAp cable)
• Data transfer rate: up to SATA speeds (6 Gbit/s supported by device interface)
• Colour: Black

How to use

Insert the 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD into the enclosure frame and secure it with the included screws if necessary. For internal connection, connect a SATA data cable to the drive and a SATA power connector from the power supply, then mount the frame into a 3.5" bay or a compatible mobile rack. For external use, connect the enclosure to a Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port on a PC or notebook using an appropriate eSATAp cable (not included). Ensure the host system supports Power Over eSATA for external power and data over the same connector.

Recommendations

Use a high-quality SATA data cable and ensure the PC’s power supply and motherboard support the required SATA connectors or Power Over eSATA (eSATAp). Handle drives carefully and back up important data before hot-swapping.
