DeLOCK 63171 Hub USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A 5000 Mbit/s Gris

The DeLOCK 63171 is a compact USB hub with a metal housing that connects to a computer, laptop or compatible mobile device via a USB Type-A host interface. It expands a single USB port into four USB Type-A ports (USB 3.2 Gen 1) with a maximum data transfer rate of 5000 Mbit/s, allowing connection of USB flash drives, card readers, external enclosures and similar USB peripherals. The hub is finished in grey and measures approximately 30 mm × 90 mm × 13 mm.

Advantages

The metal housing provides increased durability while maintaining a small footprint suitable for mobile use. USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports deliver high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbit/s for compatible devices. Its compact size makes the hub easy to carry in a laptop bag or with other travel equipment. The hub is compatible with Windows 8.1, 10, 11, Mac OS X 12.0/13.0 and Linux kernel versions 5.13–5.15.

Suitable for

• Connecting multiple USB flash drives and external storage devices
• Attaching card readers and external enclosures
• Expanding USB connectivity on laptops and desktop PCs with limited ports
• Use during travel or on the go where compact and sturdy hubs are preferred

Once connected, attach USB devices such as flash drives, card readers or external enclosures to any of the four Type-A ports. The operating system will detect the hub and connected devices; install drivers if prompted by the system. For best performance, connect high-speed devices to the hub while the host supports USB 3.2 Gen 1.

Recommendations

To ensure optimal performance, connect the hub directly to a USB Type-A port on the host rather than through another hub. Avoid overloading the hub with high-power devices that may exceed the host port's power output; use externally powered hubs or devices with separate power supplies when required.
