Detector de movimiento Steinel SENSIQ S ANT EVO 056650 IP44 180° Erfassung

Steinel SENSIQ S ANT EVO is a compact motion sensor with IP44 splash protection and a 180° detection angle, created for automatic presence detection and lighting control. The device detects movement within its coverage area and switches connected luminaires or alarm inputs accordingly. Its design suits indoor spaces and covered outdoor zones where protection against water splashes is required, allowing energy-efficient, demand-based operation of lighting systems.

Advantages

The SENSIQ S ANT EVO combines broad lateral coverage with a low-profile housing that is easy to mount on walls or ceilings. IP44 protection makes it appropriate for wet or semi-exposed locations such as covered entrances, carports, corridors, and utility rooms. The 180° detection geometry provides reliable motion detection across a wide area without requiring multiple sensors. The sensor integrates with standard lighting control and alarm circuits and supports automatic switching to reduce standby energy consumption.

Suitable for

• Covered outdoor entrances and porches
• Indoor corridors, stairwells and hallways
• Utility rooms, garages and carports
• Energy-saving lighting control in communal areas

Key specifications

• Protection class: splash-proof enclosure compliant with IP44
• Detection angle: 180 degrees
• Application: automatic presence detection for lighting and alarm switching
• Mounting: wall or ceiling installation in covered locations
• Environmental suitability: indoor and semi-exposed outdoor areas

How to use

Install the sensor on a stable surface at a recommended height and orientation to cover the target area within the 180° detection field. Connect the sensor to the lighting or alarm circuit following local wiring standards and the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Adjust sensitivity and time-delay settings as required to match occupancy patterns and avoid unwanted switching. After setup, the sensor will automatically close or open the connected circuit when motion is detected, enabling hands-free lighting control.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, mount the sensor within covered areas where it is not directly exposed to heavy rain. Place it to minimize false triggers from nearby vegetation or heat sources, and set sensitivity and hold-time parameters to adapt detection range and switching behaviour to the specific installation.
