For medical data, ensure DICOM export settings from your PACS or imaging system are correct before burning. Allow discs to finalize if required by your software to ensure compatibility with standard players and archive systems. Let freshly written discs cool briefly before printing labels or handling.

Store discs in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Use recommended burning speeds and verify recorded data after writing. For long-term medical archiving, follow institutional policies for redundancy and periodic data integrity checks.
