Attach the Meike DV00BG0015 to the camera's battery compartment and secure it in place using the grip's locking screw. Install either one or two EN-EL3 / EN-EL3e batteries or a set of six AA batteries according to the battery type you choose. Use the additional shutter-release button and AF-ON controls on the grip to operate the camera comfortably in vertical orientation. Ensure contacts are clean and batteries are inserted with correct polarity before use.

Recommendations

Use rechargeable EN-EL3/EN-EL3e batteries for best performance and longer overall runtime. When using AA batteries, prefer high-quality alkaline or NiMH rechargeable cells. Remove batteries if the grip will not be used for extended periods to avoid leakage, and follow the camera manufacturer's guidance for battery handling.
