Sensor de luz exterior Homematic IP HmIP‑SLO — detector de luz ambiental inalámbrico resistente a la intemperie

Homematic IP HmIP‑SLO is an outdoor, weatherproof wireless ambient light detector designed to measure illumination levels and communicate them to Homematic IP smart home systems. Battery‑powered and built for external mounting, the sensor provides real‑time lux values that can be used by the system to automate lighting, shading and scene control. Its compact housing and protective design make it suitable for permanent outdoor installation where accurate light measurement is required for energy‑efficient operation.

Advantages

The device offers reliable wireless transmission of measured light values to the Homematic IP gateway, enabling automated responses based on ambient brightness. Its weatherproof construction protects internal components from rain and dust, while battery operation removes the need for external power wiring and simplifies installation. The sensor measures a wide range of luminance levels and integrates with schedules, triggers and other Homematic IP devices to support adaptive lighting and shading strategies.

Suitable for

• Automatic outdoor lighting control based on dusk/dawn or ambient lux
• Integration with shading and blind control to react to bright sunlight
• Scene activation and energy management in garden, terrace or facade applications
• Use as a reference sensor for weather‑dependent automation routines

Key specifications

• Measurement: ambient illuminance reported in lux
• Wireless protocol: Homematic IP wireless communication
• Power supply: battery operation for installation without external wiring
• Housing: weatherproof design suitable for outdoor mounting
• Integration: communicates measured values to Homematic IP hub for use in schedules and triggers

How to use

Mount the sensor at an outdoor location with an unobstructed view of ambient light to ensure representative measurements. Insert batteries and pair the device with the Homematic IP gateway following the system app instructions. Once paired, configure the sensor within the Homematic IP app to use its lux values for lighting, shading or scene automations. Positioning considerations include avoiding direct exposure to small localized light sources that could bias readings; install at typical height for the intended automation (for example, near outdoor luminaires or at facade level).

Recommendations

Check battery status regularly via the Homematic IP app and replace batteries when the system indicates low power. Clean the sensor housing periodically to prevent dirt or debris from affecting light measurement accuracy. For reliable automations, test and calibrate threshold values in the app to match real site conditions and seasonal light changes.
