The InLine® USB Fingerprint Scanner offers a convenient way to log in to Windows systems. Thanks to Windows Hello support, the fingerprint is used as a secure key for access. This reduces the need to enter passwords and simplifies daily workflows. The fast recognition time of 0.5 seconds ensures immediate access without delays. At the same time, the ability to store up to 10 fingerprint profiles allows for flexible use at shared workstations. How to use

Connect the scanner to an available USB-A port on a Windows 10/11 (or newer) PC. Follow Windows Hello setup prompts to register fingerprints: open Windows Settings, navigate to Accounts > Sign-in options, and add fingerprints using the device sensor. Once enrolled, place a registered finger on the sensor to unlock the computer within about 0.5 seconds.

Recommendations

For reliable recognition, place the centre of the fingertip flat on the sensor and ensure the sensor surface is clean and dry. Register multiple angles of the same finger if prompted to improve accuracy and consider enrolling more than one finger per user for convenience.
