The Extralink EX.96624 is a Category 6A fully shielded (F/FTP) indoor twisted-pair installation cable supplied on a 305 m (1000 ft) pull-box reel. Each of the four twisted pairs is individually wrapped in aluminium foil and the whole core is enclosed in a second, overall aluminium foil screen together with a drain (earthing) wire, giving the F/FTP construction that defines this model. It is engineered for permanent in-building structured cabling and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) across the full Cat6A bandwidth of up to 500 MHz.

How to use

Pull the required length directly from the box, routing it along the planned cable path and avoiding sharp bends below the cable's minimum bend radius. Cut to length, strip the LSZH jacket, fold back the overall foil screen and bond the drain wire to ground at the patch panel, then untwist each pair minimally and terminate onto shielded Cat6A or Cat6 keystone jacks, patch panels or RJ45 plugs following the T568A/T568B colour scheme. Maintain shield continuity end to end and bond the screen to earth at the rack to realise the full F/FTP benefit.
