The Voltcraft PPS-13610 is a laboratory DC power supply with an adjustable output range of 1–18 V and a maximum current capacity of 20 A. Intended for bench work, testing and prototyping, this unit provides a stable, variable voltage source suitable for electronics repair, component testing and small-scale development. The design focuses on delivering continuous current to demanding loads while allowing precise voltage adjustment within the stated range.

Advantages

The power supply offers a wide adjustable output from 1 to 18 V combined with a high maximum current of 20 A, enabling it to support both low-voltage electronics and higher-current devices. Its stable output characteristics help to reduce measurement variability during testing and prototyping. Compact bench-oriented form and controls allow fácil integration into repair benches and development workspaces. The Voltcraft brand indicates compatibility with common laboratory and hobbyist workflows.

Suitable for

• Electronics repair and component testing
• Prototype development and circuit evaluation
• Bench power for small motors, LED arrays and modules within voltage/current limits
• Educational labs and practical electronics exercises

Key specifications

• Output voltage range: 1–18 V (adjustable)
• Maximum output current: up to 20 A
• Supply type: laboratory DC bench power supply
• Suitable for continuous delivery to demanding loads within rated limits

How to use

Connect the power supply to a suitable AC mains outlet following local electrical safety rules, then connect the device under test to the output terminals, observing polarity. Set the voltage control to the desired value within the 1–18 V range and set a current limit appropriate for the load, not exceeding 20 A. Monitor voltage and current during operation to ensure parameters remain within safe limits for both the supply and the connected equipment. Use appropriate leads and connectors rated for the current in use and ensure proper ventilation for continuous high-current operation.

Recommendations

Use insulated, appropriately rated cables and connectors when drawing high current; verify the selected voltage and current limit before connecting sensitive components. For prolonged high-current use, ensure adequate cooling and avoid enclosing the unit in confined spaces. When testing unknown circuits, start with lower current limit settings and gradually increase while monitoring response.
