Designed for regular use at home, in the office or on the move, this adapter supplies stable power to the laptop while charging the battery and supporting sustained operation during typical tasks such as office work, web browsing and media playback.

Advantages

The adapter delivers a rated 90W output to ensure consistent voltage and current under normal load, reducing the risk of system instability and unexpected shutdowns. As an HP original component, it matches the manufacturer’s specifications for connector compatibility and electrical safety. The compact design and integrated cable management make it convenient for transport and storage, while built-in protections guard against overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuits to preserve both the adapter and the laptop battery.

Suitable for

• Charging and powering compatible HP laptops that require a 90W adapter
• Everyday office tasks, document editing and email
• Web browsing, video playback and light multimedia
• Replacing a lost or damaged original HP power supply

Key specifications

• Output power: 90 watts
• Output type: DC power for notebook use
• Connector: HP-compatible laptop plug (manufacturer matched)

How to use

Connect the AC adapter to an appropriate mains outlet using the supplied power cord or a compatible regional lead. Plug the adapter’s DC connector into the laptop’s power jack until it is fully seated. Verify that the laptop indicates charging or external power; if a charge indicator is present, allow the battery to reach the desired level while using the device. Unplug the adapter from the mains before disconnecting the DC plug from the laptop to avoid arcing. Use the adapter with compatible HP notebook models and avoid forcing the connector into incompatible ports.

Recommendations

Store the adapter in a dry, ventilated location and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Periodically inspect the cable and connector for visible damage; discontinue use if insulation is cracked or the connector is loose. Use only with devices that specify a 90W HP-compatible adapter to ensure correct operation and to maintain battery health.
