Hama Cable InfiniBand/fibra óptica 5 m LC Blanco Hama 00200743

The Hama 00200743 is a 5 m InfiniBand/fibre optic cable with LC connectors on both ends designed for high-speed data transmission up to 10 Gbps. The white, slimline cable uses halogen-free (LSZH) materials and polished contacts to ensure reliable, low-loss connections in data centers and high-performance computing environments.

Advantages

Halogen-free LSZH construction reduces toxic and corrosive gas release and limits smoke in case of fire. Specially polished contact surfaces and precise connector fit provide a lossless transition that minimises signal refraction. The slimline LC plugs are suitable for mobile and low-profile devices or confined spaces, while flexible materials offer improved kink protection and reduce the risk of cable breakage. High-quality materials and workmanship support consistent transmission quality.

How to use

Ensure both devices support LC fibre connections and are powered off or in a safe state before connecting. Align each LC connector with the device port and insert until it clicks, taking care not to bend the fibre sharply. Route the cable with gentle curves to avoid kinks and secure it in place if necessary. When disconnecting, press the connector latch and pull straight out without twisting.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep LC end faces clean and protected when not in use, avoid tight bends below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius, and store the cable in a dry, dust-free environment. Regular inspection of connectors will help maintain 10 Gbps performance.
