Hoja de lija Bosch M480 Best for Wood and Paint 2608621144

The Bosch M480 sanding sheet is designed specifically for sanding and keying wood and painted surfaces with minimal dust. Its open knitted fabric net construction enables effective full-surface extraction of sanding dust and reduces clogging, providing consistent sanding behavior and clean surface results. The sheet is intended for fine sanding of softwood, hardwood, lacquered surfaces, plaster and wood containing resin or oil, and is suitable for removing coatings and impurities as well as for intermediate lacquer sanding and keying primers. Compatible with random orbital sanders, the M480 features electrostatic grain distribution and a fully synthetic resin bond for durability and wear resistance.

Advantages

The open net structure allows continuous dust extraction across the entire sanding area, which minimizes airborne dust and prevents material buildup on the abrasive. Knitted fabric construction ensures stable handling and predictable sanding performance. Electrostatic grain distribution improves sanding efficiency and surface uniformity, while the fully synthetic resin bond increases durability and resistance to wear.

How to use

Attach the sanding sheet to a compatible random orbital sander according to the sander manufacturer’s instructions. Work with light to moderate pressure, moving the sander evenly across the surface to avoid creating dips or uneven spots. Keep the extraction system connected and operating to maintain dust-free sanding and prolong abrasive life. Replace the sheet when sanding efficiency decreases or when the abrasive shows visible wear.

Recommendations

Use progressively finer grits for successive sanding steps to achieve a smooth finish; for painted surfaces, start with a grit appropriate for paint removal and finish with a finer grit for keying or final smoothing. Ensure proper dust extraction and wear appropriate respiratory and eye protection when sanding.
