HP HDD 320GB 7200RPM 7MM SEAGATE - Disco duro - 320 GB

When a laptop's original drive fills up or fails, this HP-branded Seagate 320GB hard drive is the straightforward replacement that gets the machine back in service. It's the kind of part an IT technician keeps on the shelf for quick swaps in business notebooks or small form factor desktops, where a 7mm height is often required. The 7200 RPM spindle speed means boot times and application launches feel noticeably snappier than with a 5400 RPM drive, while the 16MB cache smooths out everyday file transfers. Because it uses a standard SATA 3Gb/s interface, it drops into almost any laptop or desktop from the last decade without driver headaches.

Why choose it

This drive combines HP's quality assurance with Seagate's proven mechanics. The 7200 RPM speed is a real upgrade over typical 5400 RPM laptop drives, and the 7mm profile ensures compatibility with ultra-thin notebooks. It's a dependable choice for anyone who needs a reliable, no-frills storage upgrade without moving to an SSD.

Ideal use cases

• Replacing a failed or aging laptop hard drive
• Upgrading a small form factor desktop or home server
• Adding storage to an external USB enclosure
• Refurbishing business notebooks for redeployment

Good to know

The drive is a bare OEM unit, so no cables, screws, or mounting brackets are included. It's designed for 2.5-inch bays with 7mm clearance; if your laptop uses a 9.5mm drive, you may need a spacer. Formatting and OS installation are the responsibility of the installer. For maximum reliability, handle the drive by its edges and avoid static discharge.
