HP Poly cable USB 2.0 (5M)

The POLY USB 2.0 Cable 875H6AA 5M is a 5-meter USB 2.0 extension cable designed to provide reliable data transfer and stable connectivity for a range of devices. It extends the reach of USB connections while supporting audio and video peripherals, making it suitable for desktop setups, conference equipment, webcams, headsets, and other USB accessories. The cable is built to maintain signal integrity across its length and to integrate seamlessly with common USB 2.0 hosts and devices.

Advantages

This 5-meter USB 2.0 cable offers extended reach without compromising connection stability, enabling convenient placement of devices that require a direct USB connection. Its construction is optimized for consistent data transfer rates associated with the USB 2.0 specification and for compatibility with a wide range of peripherals. The length reduces the need for repeated device relocation and supports cleaner cable routing in both home and office environments.

Suitable for

• Extending USB connections for webcams and conferencing cameras
• Connecting headsets, microphones, and USB audio interfaces
• Linking printers, scanners, and external drives at greater distances
• Desktop and office setups where longer USB reach is required

Key specifications

• Standard: USB 2.0
• Length: 5 meters
• Compatibility: USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices and hosts
• Data transfer: supports USB 2.0 data rates (up to 480 Mbps, subject to device capabilities)
• Use: data and peripheral connectivity for audio/video and general USB devices

How to use

Connect one end of the POLY USB 2.0 Cable to the USB port on your computer or USB hub and the other end to the USB port on your device, ensuring secure seating at both ends. For audio and video peripherals, confirm that the device driver or software is installed and that the host recognizes the device. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and minimize exposure to sources of electromagnetic interference to preserve signal quality.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable within typical USB 2.0 operating conditions and avoid daisy-chaining multiple passive extensions. When long cable runs are required beyond 5 meters, consider an active USB extension or powered hub to maintain reliable data transfer and device power.
