Módulo PoE HP Enterprise PoE 0P GT 2P SFP v2 zl – compatible con chasis HP serie zl

PoE Module HP Enterprise PoE Module 0P GT 2P SFP v2 zl — compatible with HP zl-series chassis adds power-over-Ethernet capability to compatible HP zl-series modular switches. Designed to fit designated module slots, this unit provides two SFP ports that carry both data and electrical power over a single cable, enabling centralized power delivery and simplified cabling for network devices that support PoE. The module is intended for use in enterprise and campus environments where modular chassis switches are deployed and where adding PoE functionality without replacing the entire switch chassis is required.

Advantages

This PoE module enables delivery of power and data via two SFP ports while maintaining the modularity of zl-series chassis, allowing administrators to expand PoE support on demand. The module supports consolidated cabling and centralized power management through the chassis infrastructure, reducing the need for separate power injectors at endpoints. Its compact module form factor preserves chassis slot density and allows mixed configurations of interface types in a single switch.

Suitable for

• Providing PoE to small numbers of SFP-connected devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras
• Upgrading existing HP zl-series chassis with PoE capability without full hardware replacement
• Campus and branch network environments requiring modular and centralized power delivery
• Environments where space for additional external power supplies or injectors is limited

Key specifications

• Form factor: hot-swappable modular insert compatible with zl-series chassis slot
• Port count: two SFP ports with PoE functionality
• Power delivery: PoE over SFP-capable ports (power and data combined on fiber-capable or copper SFP modules as supported by chassis and module)
• Compatibility: designed for use in HP Enterprise zl-series modular switches
• Installation: fits into designated PoE module slot; requires chassis power and chassis-level management

How to use

Install the PoE module into an available zl-series modular slot while the chassis is powered down or following the chassis hot-swap procedure described in the chassis documentation. After physical installation, verify that the chassis recognizes the module through the switch management interface and enable PoE operation if necessary in the system configuration. Connect SFP transceivers or modules supported by your chassis and the connected devices, then attach compatible SFP patch cables or fiber as appropriate. Ensure that the chassis power supplies and overall power budget can accommodate the additional PoE load before connecting powered devices.

Recommendations

Confirm compatibility of chosen SFP transceivers with both the PoE module and the host zl-series chassis, and plan the chassis power budget to avoid overloading the system. Use certified network cabling and observe grounding and safety procedures when installing and servicing PoE equipment.
