Servidor HP ProLiant DL380 Gen12 6515P 1P 2×32GB RDIMM 8×SFF MR408i-o 2×480GB SSD 2×1000W PS EU

HP ProLiant DL380 Gen12 6515P is a 2U rack server configured with a single processor socket, 2×32GB RDIMM memory, eight small form factor drive bays, integrated MR408i-o RAID controller, two 480GB SSDs and redundant dual 1000W power supplies (EU). This configuration targets enterprise workloads, virtualization and storage tasks where availability, redundant power and modest storage density in SFF format are required.

Advantages

The server configuration provides balanced compute and memory capacity with 64GB of RDIMM memory installed for improved multitasking and virtualization density. Built-in MR408i-o RAID functionality offers hardware RAID levels for data protection and improved I/O performance across the SFF drive bays. Dual 1000W power supplies deliver redundant power to minimise downtime, and the inclusion of two 480GB SSDs supplies low-latency storage for operating systems or performance-critical applications. The 1P design reduces rack power and cooling requirements compared with larger multi-socket systems while remaining compatible with enterprise management tools.

Suitable for

• Virtualization hosts for small to medium virtual machine densities
• General enterprise applications and database services
• File and storage servers requiring fast SSD boot or cache drives
• Edge or branch office deployments where redundant power and compact 2U form factor are preferred

Key specifications

• Form factor: 2U rack server
• Processor sockets: single-socket configuration
• Memory: 2×32GB RDIMM installed (64GB total)
• Drive bays: 8× SFF (small form factor) bays
• Storage included: 2× 480GB SSD
• RAID controller: integrated MR408i-o
• Power supplies: 2× 1000W redundant (EU)
• Management: onboard enterprise-grade server management (iLO compatible platforms)

How to use

Install the server into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rails and follow rack-and-stack safety procedures. Populate required network, storage and power connections: connect both EU power supplies to separate circuits to enable redundancy. Configure RAID arrays through the MR408i-o controller utility or during OS installation to set desired RAID level for the SSDs and any additional drives. Use server management tools to set firmware, update drivers and configure remote management credentials before deploying workloads.

Recommendations

For production use, ensure both power supplies are connected to independent power sources, enable appropriate RAID level for data protection, and verify firmware and driver versions are current. Allocate the two 480GB SSDs for boot and cache to improve OS and application responsiveness, and expand memory or add additional drives if higher VM density or storage capacity is required.
