The CUC Exertis Connect 128316 is a 5 m HDMI Type A male-to-male cable in white, designed for discreet audio/video installations where a low-profile cable layout is required. Its flat shape allows routing along walls or skirting boards while the gold-plated contacts and High-Speed HDMI (Category 2) interface support reliable signal transmission for HD and Ultra HD sources.

Advantages

The flat design enables neat installation against walls and skirting boards without bulky cable loops. High-Speed HDMI (cat.2) compatibility ensures support for 3D and 1080p video as well as 2D Ultra HD sources and multichannel HD audio. Gold-plated connectors improve contact quality and reduce corrosion, and the 5 m length provides flexible placement of TVs, projectors or consoles.

How to use

Route the flat HDMI cable along the desired path, securing it to walls or skirting boards as needed with appropriate clips or adhesive channels. Insert one HDMI Type A connector into the source device (e.g., set-top box, console or laptop) and the other into the display or AV receiver. Ensure both devices are powered on and set to the correct HDMI input. If using audio return features, enable ARC on the compatible TV and receiver according to their manuals.

Recommendations

For best signal quality, avoid sharp bends and heavy compression of the flat cable. Use cable clips or flat cable channels to keep the cable flush to surfaces. Verify device HDMI settings (resolution and ARC) to match the cable's High-Speed capabilities.
