Candado MASTERLOCK 70 mm cuerpo macizo de latón, modelo 170EURD

MASTERLOCK 70 mm solid brass body padlock, model 170EURD, is a key-operated mechanical lock designed for durable security in both outdoor and indoor environments. The lock features a 70 mm solid brass case and a hardened shackle, providing corrosion resistance and mechanical strength for gates, sheds, lockers and storage units. The compact design offers straightforward installation and routine use while maintaining a focus on long service life and everyday protection.

Advantages

The solid brass body resists corrosion and provides structural strength, while the hardened steel shackle increases resistance to cutting and sawing. The lock incorporates a 6-pin cylinder that improves resistance to picking, and dual locking levers add protection against prying and impact. The product is backed by a limited lifetime warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Suitable for

• Securing garden gates and external fences
• Locking storage sheds and outdoor cabinets
• Protecting lockers and tool chests in workshops
• Securing storage units and bicycle enclosures
• Indoor doors and cabinets where a durable padlock is required

Key specifications

• Body material: solid brass
• Body width: 70 mm
• Shackle: hardened steel for enhanced cut resistance
• Locking mechanism: 6-pin cylinder with dual locking levers
• Operation: key-operated mechanical lock
• Corrosion resistance suitable for outdoor use

How to use

Open the padlock using the supplied key and place the hardened shackle through the hasp or securing point. Close the shackle into the body until it latches; confirm it is fully engaged by gently pulling on the shackle. To unlock, insert the key, turn to retract the locking pins and release the shackle. Store spare keys in a safe, separate location to avoid lockout. Regular lubrication of the cylinder with a graphite or silicone-based lock lubricant helps maintain smooth key operation.

Recommendations

For prolonged outdoor performance, install the padlock in a sheltered position when possible and periodically clean debris from the shackle recess. Inspect the shackle and body for damage and replace the lock if severe wear or corrosion is detected. Use appropriate mounting hardware and compatible hasps to ensure full engagement of the shackle and optimal security.
