Mochila DEUTER Freerider Pro 30+10 SL — 30 L (+10 L ampliable), 1 kg, burdeos, unisex, esquí de travesía

DEUTER Freerider Pro 30+10 SL is a unisex ski touring backpack with a 30 L main compartment and an additional 10 L expandable capacity. Designed for mountain activities and winter ascents, it offers a compact profile (560 × 330 × 180 mm) and lightweight construction (1 kg). The zipper closure secures the main compartment and an integrated SOS label provides space for emergency information. The Bordeaux colour and SL-specific fit make the pack suitable for a wide range of users seeking a reliable carry solution for day trips and technical ski tours.

Advantages

The backpack combines a layered design for equipment organisation with a low overall weight to reduce fatigue during long ascents. Its expandable volume gives flexible storage for extra clothing or avalanche tools, while a structured form maintains stable load distribution on steep terrain. The zipper closure allows quick access to the main compartment and the SOS label supports safety-oriented use in mountain environments.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

The pack may not suit multi-day expeditions or trips that require large volumes of equipment and food, as its main capacity is focused on day use with limited expandability. It is not intended to replace larger expedition backpacks for extended stays in the mountains.

How to use

Pack heavier items close to the back and distribute weight evenly to maintain balance on steep slopes. Use the expandable section when carrying an extra layer, probe, or rope; compress the pack when the additional space is not required. Access the main compartment via the zipper to reach clothing layers or safety equipment quickly. Fill the SOS label with up-to-date emergency contacts or medical details before heading into the backcountry.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Pair the backpack with a compact avalanche kit, helmet and suitable clothing layers. Adjust the fit so the pack sits close to the body and check load distribution before the ascent. Inspect zippers and attachment points for snow or ice during winter use to ensure reliable handling.
