Módulo de batería externo SAI EATON 9PX EBM 180V RT3U G2 para sistemas de 3000VA 2700W

The EATON UPS external battery module 9PX EBM 180V RT3U G2 is an add-on battery unit designed to extend backup time for compatible 9PX UPS systems rated 3000VA / 2700W. Built in a rack/tower convertible RT3U form factor, this external battery module increases available runtime by adding a 180V battery string to the UPS system without changing the UPS topology. It is intended for use in environments where prolonged power hold-up is needed to support servers, network equipment and other critical loads during power interruptions.

Advantages

This external battery module provides extended runtime in a compact 3U rack/tower enclosure, enabling a scalable approach to backup power without replacing the UPS. The 180V battery configuration is matched to compatible 9PX models to ensure straightforward integration and predictable runtime extension. Designed for continuous readiness, the module supports hot environments typical of data centres and server rooms while allowing centralized battery management through the UPS controller.

Suitable for

• Extending runtime for 9PX 3000VA UPS installations
• Server rooms and small data centres requiring longer backup time
• Network closets and critical infrastructure equipment
• Environments where rack or tower mounting flexibility is required

Key specifications

• Battery configuration: 180V external battery string suitable for compatible UPS
• Form factor: 3U rack/tower convertible enclosure
• Compatibility: Designed for use with matching 9PX UPS systems rated up to 3000VA / 2700W
• Purpose: Extends UPS battery capacity to increase backup runtime
• Installation: External, connects to UPS battery extension port for integrated operation

How to use

Install the module in a standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting hardware or place it on stable flat surface in tower orientation. Connect the external battery module to the compatible 9PX UPS using the dedicated battery extension cable and follow the UPS manufacturer’s procedure for battery expansions so the system recognizes the additional battery string. After connection, verify runtime extension and battery status using the UPS interface or management software. Ensure all electrical connections are made only by qualified personnel and that the UPS and battery module are powered down or set to safe service mode if the manufacturer requires it for installation.

Recommendations

Place the module in a ventilated area at recommended ambient temperatures and keep it away from direct heat sources. Periodically check battery status through the UPS management interface and schedule preventive maintenance according to the UPS vendor guidance to maintain reliable backup performance.
