Monitor ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG39WCDM 39 pulgadas UltraWide Quad HD LCD 3440 x 1440

The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG39WCDM is a 39-inch ultrawide curved monitor with an UltraWide Quad HD 3440 x 1440 resolution. Built on a third-generation ROG OLED panel and LCD drive technologies, it combines a high 240 Hz refresh rate with an extremely fast 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time to minimise motion blur and latency. The 21:9 native aspect ratio and 800R curvature provide an immersive field of view for gaming and multimedia, while wide 178° viewing angles ensure consistent colour and contrast from different positions. The display offers a high contrast ratio, HDR support with a 100% window claim and a custom heatsink design to reduce the risk of OLED burn‑in.

Advantages

The monitor delivers very fast motion handling thanks to a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time, reducing trailing and input lag for fast-paced content. OLED technology provides deep blacks and a very high contrast ratio for richer images and clear HDR highlights. The 39-inch 21:9 curved screen increases immersion in games and wide-format media, and ergonomic features such as VESA mounting and height adjustment help position the screen for extended use. A built-in USB hub including a USB Type-C downstream port adds connectivity convenience.

Suitable for

• Competitive and fast-paced gaming where low response time and high refresh rate matter
• Single-screen productivity and multitasking with a wide 21:9 desktop
• Immersive single-player and cinematic experiences on a curved ultrawide panel
• Content review and HDR-capable media playback that benefit from high contrast and wide viewing angles

When it may not be suitable

This monitor does not include built-in speakers, so an external audio solution is required for sound. OLED panels can carry a higher theoretical risk of image retention or burn‑in with static content over very long periods; although this model includes design measures to reduce that risk, users who display static UI elements for many hours daily should consider alternatives or use preservation features and varied content. The energy efficiency class ratings indicate moderate power draw, especially in HDR use.

How to use

Position the monitor on a stable desk or mount it using a VESA-compatible arm or bracket, and adjust the height to a comfortable eye level to reduce neck strain. Connect a compatible graphics card using DisplayPort or HDMI to achieve the highest refresh rates and resolution supported by your system; use the USB Type-C downstream port where device compatibility is required. Configure display settings in your operating system and the monitor OSD to select resolution, refresh rate, HDR mode and any motion-enhancing features such as ELMB. For long-term OLED health, enable any panel-preservation or pixel-shift features and avoid prolonged static content at maximum brightness.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your graphics card and cables support 3440 x 1440 at 240 Hz for full performance
• Plan for external speakers or headphones since the monitor has no built-in speakers
• Consider desk space and viewing distance for a 39-inch 800R curved ultrawide display
• Be aware of OLED care recommendations to minimise image retention and extend panel life

Recommendations

The monitor is best used with up-to-date GPU drivers and high-quality DisplayPort or HDMI cables, in a workspace where you can vary displayed content. Use built-in display preservation settings, avoid static high-contrast interface elements when possible, and lower peak brightness for prolonged static content to balance image quality and panel longevity.
