Why choose it

The Eldris is built for tasks that demand control and precision. Its short blade and Scandi grind excel at wood carving, while the square spine throws a shower of sparks from the included fire starter. The TPE rubber handle stays grippy even when wet, and the polymer sheath clicks securely onto the blade, with a secondary lock to prevent accidental loss. At just 80 grams, it disappears into a pocket or around your neck until you need it.

Ideal use cases

• Neck carry for instant access during hiking, bushcraft or hunting
• Fire starting with the included ferro rod and ground spine
• Carving tent pegs, notches, feather sticks and small game preparation
• Backup blade for emergency kits, survival tins or EDC
• Gift for outdoorsmen who value Swedish craftsmanship

Good to know

Morakniv has been forging blades in Mora, Sweden since 1891. The Eldris is a modern neck knife that honours that tradition with a full-tang design and high-quality 12C27 steel. The kit's paracord can be used to lash the sheath to gear or as an emergency cord. The fire starter is a standard ferrocerium rod; scrape it with the knife's spine, not the edge, to preserve sharpness. The sheath's secondary lock is a simple rotating catch that prevents the knife from sliding out during vigorous activity.
