How to use

Before use, fit a compatible 40 V battery and ensure the chain is correctly tensioned and lubricated according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Hold the saw with both hands, position the guide bar on the cutting point, and start cutting with smooth, controlled motions, allowing the chain to do the work without forcing. Observe standard safety precautions: use eye and hand protection, clear the work area of bystanders, and avoid cutting above shoulder height. After each session, clean sawdust and check chain tension and lubrication.

Recommendations

For best results, use batteries from the same Makita 40 V system and keep a spare charged battery for continuous work. Regularly inspect and sharpen the chain, maintain correct chain tension, and use appropriate bar oil to prolong bar and chain life. Store the chainsaw in a dry place and follow all safety guidance for battery-powered cutting tools.
