MSR Heat Reflector – Cortavientos de aluminio para hornillos (plateado)

Stove accessory that slashes boil time and fuel usage with dual-action wind protection and heat reflection. The MSR Heat Reflector is an ultralight aluminum sheet designed to wrap around the base of your MSR stove, shielding the flame from wind and bouncing heat back toward your pot for rapid boiling.

Advantages

Windy conditions can sap your stove's performance, wasting precious fuel and time. This reflector creates a microclimate around your burner, ensuring the flame burns steadily and efficiently. In side-by-side tests, MSR claims a 25% reduction in boil times and up to 40% fuel savings—meaning you carry less fuel and wait less for your meal. The thin, flexible aluminum is remarkably robust, resisting dents and creases on the trail. It packs flat or rolls into a small tube, fitting into any pot or stuff sack.

Suitable for

• Backpackers and through-hikers who count every gram
• Campers exposed to gusty conditions
• Winter expeditions where melting snow is time-critical
• All MSR liquid fuel stoves (e.g., WhisperLite, DragonFly) and canister stoves (e.g., PocketRocket, SuperFly)

Recommendations

For best results, position the reflector so it forms a partial or full circle around the stove base, leaving a gap for air intake and pot handles. Do not use it as a trivet or pot stand. Roll it up and store in its provided sleeve to keep it crease-free. Wipe clean with a damp cloth after use; avoid abrasive scrubbers that can damage the reflective surface.
