Pigtail de fibra óptica LANBERG MM LC/UPC OM3 50/125 Easy Strip 2 m aqua

LANBERG fibre optic pigtail MM LC/UPC OM3 50/125 2 m in aqua jacket is designed for splicing and patch panel terminations in multimode networks. The 50/125 µm core/cladding structure and OM3 specification support high-speed short-reach multimode links commonly used in data centres, server rooms and enterprise cabling. The LC/UPC connector provides low insertion loss and a compact form factor for dense patching environments, while the Easy Strip feature simplifies jacket removal during preparation for splicing.

Advantages

This fibre optic pigtail combines OM3 multimode performance with LC/UPC connector precision to deliver consistent optical characteristics for short-distance links. The aqua outer jacket identifies the OM3 grade and helps maintain network organization. The Easy Strip design reduces time and the risk of damage during cable preparation by providing a controlled and easier jacket removal process. Factory-terminated connectorisation ensures predictable insertion loss and return loss values suitable for structured cabling systems.

Suitable for

• Splicing in fibre distribution panels and cabinets
• Patch panel terminations in data centres and server rooms
• High-speed multimode links within buildings and between adjacent rooms
• Upgrading or repairing short-reach multimode installations

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: LC with UPC polish
• Length: 2 m
• Jacket color: Aqua
• Feature: Easy Strip jacket for simplified preparation

How to use

Prepare the fibre pigtail by removing the outer jacket using the Easy Strip feature following standard fibre handling procedures. Cleave the fibre to the required length for splicing, and perform fusion or mechanical splicing to the installed backbone or patchcord as appropriate. Route the pigtail into the splice tray or patch panel, secure it to prevent stress on the splice, and test the connection with an appropriate optical test set to confirm loss and continuity before finalising the panel.

Recommendations

Handle the fibre by the buffer and connector body, avoid touching the end face, and keep protective caps in place until installation. Use a clean cleaver and inspect end faces with a fibre microscope. Maintain bend radius limits specified for multimode fibre and store spare pigtails in a dry, dust-free environment.
