Portaminas Rotring 1904449 0,5 mm HB

The Rotring 1904449 mechanical pencil features a 0.5 mm HB lead and a full metal body with a silver finish. It combines a retractable sleeve and lead mechanism with a fixed lead guidance sleeve, offering protection for the tip while allowing an unobstructed view of the page for precise ruler-based drawing. The pencil includes a non-slip knurled metal grip, hexagonal barrel to prevent rolling, and a built-in eraser under the push-button cap. It is refillable and supplied with high-polymer HB leads.

Advantages

The unique "Twist and Click" retractable mechanism protects the sleeve and lead when stored and increases durability. A brass internal mechanism provides precise lead advancement. The fixed lead guidance sleeve reduces lead breakage and enables accurate drawing close to rulers. The full metal construction gives balanced weight and a durable feel, while the hexagonal barrel and knurled grip improve handling and prevent slipping.

How to use

Click the push-button to extend the retractable sleeve and advance the 0.5 mm HB lead. Use the fixed guidance sleeve for close ruler-aligned drawing to maintain precision. When finished, retract the sleeve using the "Twist and Click" action to protect the tip before placing the pencil in a pocket. Replace leads by removing the push-button cap to access the refill chamber and insert appropriate 0.5 mm leads.

Recommendations

Use high-polymer 0.5 mm HB leads for a balance of darkness and break resistance; when drawing with rulers, keep the fixed sleeve close to the edge of the ruler for best accuracy. Store retracted in pockets to avoid sleeve damage.
