Portaminas Staedtler Mars Technico 788 2 mm HB

The Staedtler Mars Technico 788 is a mechanical pencil with a 2 mm HB lead, designed for precise writing and technical drawing. Constructed from durable polypropylene (PP) and finished in a black and blue design, the pencil delivers consistent line quality and reliable performance. Made in Germany, it is suited for professional and creative use where thicker lead is preferred for sketching, drafting, or everyday note-taking.

Advantages

The 2 mm HB lead provides a balance between darkness and hardness for clear, consistent lines while resisting frequent breakage. The polypropylene body offers durability and a comfortable feel during extended use. A fixed lead size simplifies replacement and ensures compatibility with standard 2 mm leads. The pencil’s German manufacture reflects quality control and precise assembly.

Recommendations

For best results in technical work and sketching, use quality 2 mm HB leads designed for mechanical pencils; avoid excessive pressure to reduce lead breakage. Keep spare leads and an appropriate sharpener or lead pointer for a consistent tip when required.
