The DeLOCK 60218 cable gland is a set of ten black plastic fittings designed to provide secure cable entry and environmental protection for electrical enclosures and equipment. Each gland offers a compact, lightweight solution that helps seal cable openings against dust and moisture while maintaining a neat, professional appearance. The pack of 10 is suitable for small installations, maintenance work, or stocking for future projects.

Advantages

These cable glands are made from durable black plastic that resists corrosion and is suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor use. Their simple design allows for quick installation without special tools and helps protect cable jackets from abrasion at the entry point. Supplied as a set of ten, they offer consistent quality across multiple entries and reduce the need for individual procurement.

Suitable for

• Sealing cable entries on junction boxes and control panels
• Strain relief for cable connections in lighting fixtures and appliances
• Protecting cables in industrial automation and instrumentation cabinets
• General-purpose cable routing in residential and commercial installations

Key specifications

• Material: black plastic
• Pack quantity: 10 pieces
• Colour: black
• Application: cable entry sealing and protection
• Suitable environment: indoor or sheltered outdoor locations

How to use

Prepare the enclosure by drilling or selecting the appropriate knockout hole for the gland size. Insert the cable through the gland body and push the gland into the enclosure hole until it seats securely. Ensure the cable jacket is positioned to receive strain relief at the gland opening. Tighten any mating nut or locking mechanism if present to achieve a firm mechanical hold and a proper seal. Verify the cable routing is free of undue bending or pressure at the entry point.

Recommendations

For reliable sealing and mechanical protection, choose a gland size that matches the cable outer diameter. Use only in environments consistent with plastic gland materials—avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and chemicals that can degrade plastic. Inspect glands periodically for wear and replace if cracking or loosening is observed.
