EUROLITE PG11 cable gland black — model 85056615 is a compact threaded cable connector designed to secure and seal cables where they enter enclosures. The PG11 thread size provides a standard threaded connection for panels and junction boxes. This cable gland delivers strain relief and basic environmental protection for electrical and lighting installations, and is suitable for use in control boxes, lighting fixtures and junctions where a small, reliable cable entry is required.

Advantages

The EUROLITE PG11 cable gland is made for straightforward installation and reliable mechanical retention of cables. Its PG11 threading fits standard panel holes and ensures a consistent mounting interface. The black finish offers discreet appearance in lighting and electrical applications while the design provides basic sealing against dust and light moisture. Strain relief reduces stress on terminations and connectors, helping maintain long-term electrical contact integrity.

How to use

Drill or use an existing PG11-compatible hole in the enclosure panel, then insert the threaded body of the cable gland and secure it with the locknut from the inside if present. Pass the cable through the gland and tighten the sealing cap by hand until the cable is held firmly and strain relief is achieved. Avoid over-tightening which could deform the sealing elements or damage the cable sheath. Verify that the gland provides adequate retention and that cable conductors are not under mechanical stress at the termination point.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, select a gland that matches the cable outer diameter and the enclosure hole size. Use the EUROLITE PG11 gland indoors or in protected locations where basic dust and moisture protection is sufficient. Inspect the gland after installation to ensure the seal remains intact and replace the part if the sealing element shows wear or cracking.
