Hedge Sweep Attachment DeWalt DZO8555-QZ 55 cm compatible with DeWalt power tools is an add-on designed to collect clippings directly while trimming hedges. The 55 cm wide sweep mounts to compatible DeWalt hedge trimmers or multi-head systems and channels cut material into a compact path, reducing the need for manual raking and making post-trim cleanup faster and more efficient for both domestic and professional garden maintenance.

Advantages

The attachment reduces cleanup time by capturing trimmings at the point of cut, helping to maintain a tidy work area. Its 55 cm width covers a useful swath with each pass, and compatibility with DeWalt power tools ensures straightforward integration with existing systems. The design is lightweight yet sturdy, allowing comfortable handling and stable performance during extended use.

Suitable for

• Garden hedge trimming where immediate clipping collection is desired
• Domestic landscaping and backyard maintenance
• Professional groundskeeping and repetitive hedge maintenance tasks
• Integration into multi-head systems for versatile garden tool setups

Key specifications

• Sweep width: 55 cm
• Compatible with: DeWalt hedge trimmers and approved multi-head systems
• Function: collects and channels clippings during trimming
• Construction: lightweight, rigid materials for field use
• Mounting: quick-attach interface designed for tool compatibility

How to use

Attach the sweep to a compatible DeWalt hedge trimmer or multi-head system following the tool manufacturer’s attachment procedure to ensure a secure connection. Position the sweep so that the trimming blades operate directly in front of the collection channel; then perform trimming passes as usual. The attachment collects and channels the clippings behind the cutting edge—periodically stop work to remove accumulated material or empty any collection container if fitted. Inspect the mounting points and fasteners before each use and after any impact to maintain safe operation.

Recommendations

For best results, use the sweep with hedge trimmers rated by the manufacturer as compatible, operate at steady trimming speeds, and avoid forcing the tool through overly dense or woody growth. Regularly clear accumulated debris to prevent clogging, and follow personal protective equipment guidance when trimming and clearing clippings.
