Router Lancom Systems LANCOM 1803VA-5G (EU) — 5G, Gigabit Ethernet, antena SMA externa, 1 ventilador, seguridad AES/3DES

LANCOM 1803VA-5G (EU) is a compact SD-WAN VoIP gateway and enterprise router that supports 5G mobile broadband and multiple wired WAN interfaces. Designed for small and medium-sized branch offices and remote sites, it combines Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), an external SMA antenna (up to 2 dBi) and a single internal cooling fan. The device provides secure VPN and firewall functions with AES and 3DES encryption and supports authentication methods such as PAP, CHAP and MS-CHAP/v2. Management and orchestration are available via SNMP and integration with centralized cloud management enables automated configuration and monitoring.

Advantages

The LANCOM 1803VA-5G offers flexible multi-link connectivity including 5G for primary or failover Internet access and VDSL Supervectoring compatibility for high-speed copper-line operation. SD-WAN capabilities allow active/active operation of multiple WAN links with load balancing, Dynamic Path Selection and Dynamic Traffic Steering to optimize throughput and latency for business applications. Built-in VPN options, support for secure routing and encapsulation protocols (for example EoGRE and L2TPv3) and strong cryptographic algorithms ensure protected site-to-site and remote-access connections. Its compact design with external SMA antenna and an integrated fan supports continuous operation in branch and mobile deployments.

Suitable for

• Branch offices and small corporate sites requiring secure multi-WAN connectivity
• Remote sites and mobile deployments that need 5G or VDSL backup/failover
• VoIP and telephony gateway integration with centralized VPN connectivity
• Environments where SD-WAN, load balancing and automated network management are required

How to use

Install the LANCOM 1803VA-5G in a location with adequate ventilation and attach the external SMA antenna. Connect your wired WAN and LAN networks to the Gigabit Ethernet ports and insert a compatible 5G SIM card or connect VDSL where required. Use the provided management interface or the LANCOM Management Cloud for initial setup, assign VPN profiles, configure firewall rules and define SD-WAN policies such as load balancing and dynamic path selection. Verify authentication settings for remote access and confirm encryption algorithms meet your security requirements before placing the device into production.

Recommendations

Place the router where the external antenna has clear reception for the best 5G signal. When operating multiple WAN links, enable SD-WAN features and Dynamic Traffic Steering to ensure critical applications use the optimal path. Schedule firmware updates and regular backups of configuration through the central management system to maintain security and reliability.
