Why choose it

The Mountain Trainer 2 Mid GTX is a proven workhorse for demanding mountain use. Its stiff sole and precise lacing give confidence on exposed scrambles, while the GORE-TEX® lining handles wet conditions. The 3F System wraps the heel securely, reducing slippage on steep descents, and the MFF+ footbed allows volume adjustment for a personalized fit.

Ideal use cases

• Alpine trekking and multi-day backpacking with heavy packs
• Via ferrata and technical approaches requiring edging performance
• Hiking in wet, muddy, or snowy conditions

Good to know

This boot is built on a stiff platform for support under load, so it excels on rocky terrain but may feel rigid on easy trails. The GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining is engineered for higher breathability during aerobic activity, making it suitable for warmer conditions than standard waterproof membranes.
