Mountain trails demand footwear that can handle rocky scrambles, muddy approaches, and sudden downpours without weighing you down. The Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite GTX answers that call with a rugged yet lightweight construction built for technical hiking and via ferrata. Its GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining keeps water out while allowing sweat to escape, so your feet stay dry from stream crossings to summit pushes. The Pomoca MTN Trainer Lite outsole delivers reliable grip on wet rock and loose terrain, while the Salewa 3F System and climbing lacing lock your heel in place for precision footwork. A PFC-free treatment adds environmental responsibility without compromising performance.

Tips

For the best fit, try the shoes with your hiking socks and ensure there is about a thumb's width of space in the toe box. Break them in on shorter walks before tackling long routes. After use in wet conditions, remove the insoles and let the shoes air dry away from direct heat. To maintain the GORE-TEX® membrane, clean the shoes regularly with a soft brush and use a PFC-free waterproofing spray when water no longer beads on the surface.
