The Bahco 208 hacksaw with a 25 cm blade is a compact hand saw designed for cutting metal and plastic materials. Weighing approximately 149 g, this lightweight tool combines a short cutting length with a slim profile, making it convenient for tight spaces and overhead tasks. The grey and orange color scheme identifies it as part of the Bahco range and provides clear visual contrast for quick tool selection on a workbench or in a toolbox.

Advantages

The hacksaw offers a durable frame construction and an ergonomic handle profile that supports controlled cutting and comfortable grip during extended use. Its 25 cm cutting length is well suited to small to medium cutting tasks while the low weight reduces operator fatigue. The compact size makes the saw easy to store and transport, and the visible color accents help locate the tool quickly among other hand tools.

• DIY repairs and home improvement projects

Key specifications

• Blade length: 25 cm
• Approximate weight: 149 g
• Primary materials: metal cutting blade with a lightweight frame
• Color: grey and orange
• Intended materials: metal and plastic

How to use

Secure the workpiece in a vice or clamp before cutting to prevent movement. Fit an appropriate blade for the material and tension it according to manufacturer guidance so the blade remains straight during use. Hold the handle with a firm but relaxed grip and start cutting with steady forward strokes, allowing the blade teeth to do the work without applying excessive side force. For cleaner cuts on metal, use consistent stroke length and moderate speed; for plastic, reduce speed and avoid overheating the blade.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety goggles and gloves when cutting. Choose a blade with the correct tooth pitch for the material: finer teeth for thin metal sheets and coarser teeth for thicker pipes. Store the saw in a dry place to prevent corrosion and inspect the blade for wear or damage before each use. Replace the blade when cutting performance decreases or when teeth are missing or damaged.
