Montura de telescopio Dobsonian SynScan Kit 16" SW-4258 sistema GoTo para reflectores de 16"

SynScan Kit Dobsonian 16 SW-4258 GoTo system is an electronic upgrade for 16-inch Newtonian reflector telescopes that adds motorized azimuth and altitude control, automated object acquisition and continuous tracking. The system integrates drive units and a control interface compatible with standard hand controllers to convert a manual 16" Dobsonian into a computerized GoTo instrument suitable for planned observing sessions and targeted visual study of planets and deep-sky objects.

Advantages

The SynScan Kit provides precise motorized motion in both axes to reduce manual nudging and improve steady tracking during observations. Computerized object locating simplifies finding faint galaxies, nebulae and star clusters by using an internal database and slewing routines. The kit preserves the simple Dobsonian structure while offering modern automation, increasing efficiency without requiring major modifications to the telescope tube or rocker box.

How to use

Install the SynScan Kit according to the manufacturer's mounting instructions so that drive units are secured to the Dobsonian rocker box and altitude bearings. Connect the hand controller and power source, perform the initial alignment procedure using visible reference stars, and select targets from the controller database or enter coordinates manually. After alignment, use the hand controller to slew to objects and enable tracking to follow targets across the sky during observation.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, ensure bearings and azimuth surfaces are clean and the rocker box is stable; perform a careful two- or three-star alignment each session and use a steady power source to avoid tracking interruptions. Verify mechanical clearance for the installed motors and cables on your 16" tube before finalizing installation.
