SSD Transcend 1 TB USB Type-C Oro ESD420

The Transcend ESD420 1 TB portable SSD (Gold) is a compact external SSD with a USB Type-C interface and MagSafe-compatible magnetic design for iPhone models that support MagSafe or devices with magnetic-compatible cases. With a rated USB 20Gbps interface and up to 2,000 MB/s read/write performance using an SLC cache, the ESD420 is designed to store and transfer large files such as 4K/8K video, high-resolution photos, and documents while remaining lightweight at 48 g and available in capacities up to 4 TB.

Advantages

The ESD420 combines a magnetic mounting option for convenient attachment to MagSafe-compatible phones or cases with high sustained transfer speeds over a 20Gbps USB interface and SLC cache acceleration. Its MIL-STD-810G engineered build provides improved resistance to drops in non-operating state, and hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption together with Transcend Elite software enable password protection, disk lock and one-time password recovery. The drive is plug-and-play with USB-C devices and ships formatted in exFAT for cross-platform compatibility.

Suitable for

• Outdoor and travel photography where mobile storage expansion is needed
• Recording and storing 4K ProRes video from supported iPhone models
• Backing up high-resolution photos, large media files and documents on the go
• Users needing hardware encryption and password-protected portable storage

How to use

Connect the ESD420 to a device using the supplied USB Type-C cable. For iPhone attachment, align the magnetic back of the SSD with an iPhone that supports MagSafe or use a magnetic-compatible case if the device lacks built-in magnetic support. Ensure the mobile device supports USB OTG when connecting phones or tablets. Use Transcend Elite to configure password protection, disk lock, backups or encryption, and follow on-screen instructions in the app for OTP recovery if required.

Recommendations

Do not drop or strike the unit; the MIL-STD-810G specification applies to non-operating drop tests only. Performance may vary depending on host hardware, software, usage patterns and remaining storage capacity. Check device compatibility (USB OTG, console requirements) before purchase.
