Tapa ciega para rack Extralink Front Blank Panel 2U 19" gris, 2U, 19", gris

Extralink Front Blank Panel 2U 19" Gray is a metal rack blanking panel that fills two units (2U) of a standard 19-inch server or network cabinet. The grey finish provides a consistent appearance while closing unused front openings in racks and cabinets. By occupying unused space, the panel contributes to controlled airflow and reduces the risk of dust entering active equipment bays.

Advantages

The panel is constructed from sheet metal for reliable mechanical protection of empty rack spaces and has a neutral grey powder-coated finish that resists corrosion and matches common cabinet interiors. Installing blanking panels helps maintain predictable front-to-rear airflow, which supports cooling efficiency for installed devices. The simple flat design allows for quick mounting and a clean rack appearance without modifying existing equipment.

Suitable for

• Server rooms and data centres to manage airflow and cooling
• Network cabinets and telecom racks with unused 2U spaces
• IT closets in offices and branch locations where dust reduction is needed
• Equipment racks during phased upgrades or partial deployments

Key specifications

• Rack size: standard 19-inch compatibility
• Height: 2U (2 rack units)
• Material: metal sheet construction
• Finish: grey powder-coated surface
• Mounting: front-mount for standard rack rails

How to use

Align the panel with the front rack rail where the 2U opening is located and secure it using the appropriate screws or captive fasteners compatible with the cabinet’s rail system. Ensure the panel sits flush with adjacent equipment to create a continuous front surface that directs airflow through active devices. Periodically inspect the panel for dust accumulation and clean the surface as part of routine rack maintenance.

Recommendations

Use blanking panels to segment airflow in multi-device racks and to reduce recirculation of hot air. Combine multiple panels to close large unused areas and maintain consistent cooling patterns. Avoid installing panels over hot spots without verifying airflow balance and temperature with monitoring tools.
