Tarjeta controladora PCIe FireWire 800 Renkforce 972130, 3 puertos (IEEE 1394b)

Renkforce PCIe FireWire 800 controller card 972130 provides three IEEE 1394b ports to add high-speed serial connectivity to desktop PCs. The PCIe expansion card enables connection of compatible devices such as external hard drives, audio interfaces, camcorders and other legacy FireWire equipment, offering up to 800 Mbps theoretical transfer rates where supported. The card is intended to expand system I/O and facilitate plug-and-play use with operating systems and devices that support legacy FireWire standards.

Advantages

The controller card supplies three external FireWire 800 ports on a single PCIe slot, allowing multiple devices to be connected simultaneously without occupying additional internal connectors. It is compatible with IEEE 1394b devices and supports high-speed data transmission for audio, video and storage applications. The compact low-profile bracket design makes the card suitable for a wide range of desktop chassis, and the PCIe interface ensures stable host connectivity and power delivery for bus-powered FireWire devices where applicable.

Suitable for

• Connecting external FireWire 800 hard drives and SSD enclosures
• Audio interfaces and professional sound devices that use FireWire
• Digital camcorders and legacy video capture equipment
• Data transfer and backup tasks between FireWire-equipped devices

Key specifications

• Interface: PCI Express (PCIe) for host connection
• Ports: Three external IEEE 1394b (FireWire 800) ports
• Data rate: Up to 800 Mbps theoretical speed for supported devices
• Form factor: Low-profile bracket compatible with standard desktop chassis
• Supported device types: External storage, audio interfaces, camcorders and other FireWire peripherals

How to use

Turn off and unplug the PC, open the case and insert the Renkforce PCIe FireWire 800 controller card into an available PCIe x1 or larger slot. Secure the card with the bracket screw and replace the case cover. After powering on the computer, install any required drivers provided by the operating system or the device manufacturer. Connect FireWire peripherals to the external ports using compatible IEEE 1394b cables and verify the device is recognized by the system. For bus-powered devices, ensure the host supplies adequate power or use externally powered devices or hubs where necessary.

Recommendations

Use high-quality IEEE 1394b cables for reliable data transfer and minimize cable lengths to reduce interference. If a device is not detected, check driver installation and BIOS/UEFI settings related to PCIe slot power and legacy device support. For continuous heavy data transfers, connect external storage to a powered port or use externally powered enclosures to avoid power-related interruptions.
