The ROLINE 12.02.1168 is a wired network adapter that connects a PC or notebook with a USB Type-C host port (USB 3.2 Gen 2) to a Gigabit Ethernet network supporting up to 1000 Mbit/s. The adapter provides a compact, black USB Type-C to 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet interface and is suitable for systems where a stable wired network connection is required.

Advantages

This USB Type-C network card enables Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (formerly USB 3.1 Gen 2) port, offering reliable wired speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s. The adapter is a cost-effective solution to add a 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet port to laptops or PCs that lack a built-in Ethernet jack. Its black finish and compact form factor make it easy to carry and integrate into different setups.

How to use

Connect the adapter's USB Type-C plug to the computer's USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) port, then attach an RJ45 Ethernet cable from your network to the adapter's Ethernet port. The operating system should detect the adapter automatically; if required, install the driver provided by the system or the manufacturer. Once connected and configured, the adapter enables wired network access at up to 1000 Mbit/s.

Recommendations

Use a quality Cat5e or higher-rated Ethernet cable to achieve Gigabit speeds and position the adapter where the cable is not sharply bent. Verify driver compatibility with your operating system if automatic installation does not occur.
