The TFA-Dostmann AirCO2ntrol 5000 monitors indoor air quality by measuring CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity. How to use

Place the AirCO2ntrol 5000 in the room where occupancy and air exchange need to be monitored, away from direct vents or heat sources. Connect the device to mains power using the supplied micro‑USB cable. Configure the measurement interval and alarm threshold via the device menu according to the room size and expected occupancy. Read current readings and historical graphs on the display; insert the supplied micro‑SD card to enable continuous logging. Transfer the CSV file to a computer for detailed analysis using spreadsheet software.

Recommendations

For meaningful long‑term data, position the unit at breathing height and avoid placing it directly next to windows, doors or HVAC outlets. Regularly back up the micro‑SD card data and adjust alarm thresholds to the ventilation strategy of the specific room.
