8/10

Veredicto: While the T248 does not bring about a revolution in Thrustmaster build quality or force feedback, it does level-up the entry-level experience with fab pedals and an advanced new on-wheel telemetry display. Reasons to buy+

Pros
  • Solid force feedback strength
  • Neat display with telemetry data and on-wheel customisation
  • Great pedals for a wheel of this class
Contras
  • Loud and clunky gear shifters
  • Hybrid force feedback is not ultra-smooth
  • Logitech wheels feel better-made

Pros
  • Better pedal set than older Thrustmasters at this level
  • Easy to use
  • Engaging force feedback when matched with well-programmed games
Contras
  • Somewhat limited torque and continuous resistance
  • Wheel is slow to re-center
  • Hybrid FF system results in granular rotation feel
  • Noisy, kinda nasty, gear paddle controls
