How to use

Hold the scissors by the handles with the blunt tip oriented toward the patient to avoid contact with the skin. Use steady, controlled motions to cut dressings, tape or fabric; for thicker materials, apply slow, firm pressure while keeping the blade tip away from the wound. After use, clean the blades according to local infection control protocols and store the scissors in a dry place or designated first aid compartment.

Recommendations

Inspect the scissors regularly for signs of dulling or corrosion and replace them when cutting performance deteriorates. Use the blunt tip design when working close to skin and avoid using the scissors on materials that could damage the blades, such as metal or wire. Follow standard first aid and hygiene procedures when using and cleaning the scissors.
