Equipped with four high‑performance amplifiers and beamforming, the extender focuses and strengthens signals to reach hard‑to‑cover areas. OFDMA improves multi‑device efficiency while Adaptive Path Selection automatically chooses the fastest route to the router. OneMesh™ compatibility enables a seamless single‑SSID roaming experience when paired with a OneMesh™ router. Adjustable coverage levels let you select a narrower or wider signal footprint via the Tether app.

How to use

Plug the extender into a power outlet within range of your router and follow the setup steps in the TP‑Link Tether app to connect it to your existing network. To use as an access point, connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or switch to the extender’s Ethernet port and configure wireless settings through the app. Use the Tether app to adjust coverage strength, enable OneMesh™ with a compatible router, and monitor connected devices.

Recommendations

Place the extender roughly halfway between your router and areas with weak signal for optimal coverage. When using 160 MHz on the 5 GHz band, ensure nearby devices and the router support the wider channel to achieve maximum performance. For a full‑home seamless network, pair with a OneMesh™ compatible router and use the same SSID for roaming.
