Ugreen NASync DXP8800Plus Intel Core i5 8GB DDR5 0TB is a desktop NAS designed for home and small office environments. Equipped with an Intel Core i5-1235U processor and 8GB of DDR5 RAM, it runs on UGOS Pro and provides a compact, quiet solution for centralized data storage, file sharing, and basic application hosting. The unit supports up to ten drives and accepts both HDD and SSD types, with RAID support for redundancy and performance tuning. The chassis is a desktop form factor and the device includes Ethernet LAN connectivity for network integration.
Advantages
The NAS offers a balance of processing power and memory for multitasking and handling multiple simultaneous connections. Support for up to ten storage drives allows scalable capacity expansion, while RAID support helps protect data or improve throughput depending on the chosen RAID level. Using DDR5 memory and an Intel Core i5 processor enables more responsive file access and smoother operation for background services. The desktop chassis keeps the unit suitable for placement on or under a desk and the included Ethernet LAN ensures reliable wired network access.
Suitable for (tasks / use cases)
Centralized file storage and sharing for home or small office
Backup target for workstations and laptops
Media library hosting and streaming within a local network
Light virtualization or containerized applications supported by UGOS Pro
RAID-configured volumes for redundancy or performance

How to use
Install compatible HDDs or SSDs into the available drive bays according to the manufacturer guidelines, then connect the NAS to your local network via Ethernet. Power on the unit and follow the UGOS Pro setup wizard to configure storage pools, create RAID arrays if required, and set user accounts and network shares. Use the administration interface to enable services such as file sharing (SMB/NFS), backup targets, or media streaming. Monitor system health and disk status regularly through the UGOS Pro dashboard.
Recommendations
For reliable operation, use enterprise-grade or NAS-rated HDDs for large-capacity arrays and SSDs for cache or performance-sensitive volumes. Configure RAID according to your priorities—choose redundancy for data protection or RAID levels that prioritize throughput for performance. Place the desktop chassis in a well-ventilated area and ensure stable network connectivity via wired Ethernet. Regularly update UGOS Pro firmware and maintain offsite backups for critical data.
