Cable de red Goobay 95894 2 m Cat6 U/UTP

The Goobay 95894 2m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable by WENTRONIC is designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. This 2-meter cable uses Category 6 specifications and U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded) construction to support fast Ethernet connections. RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts ensure secure mating and low contact resistance, while the brown jacket offers a discrete alternative for visible cable runs. The flat profile makes the cable suitable for installation behind skirtings, under carpets or along floors where a low-profile route is required.

Advantages

The cable provides stable signal transmission with high-quality inner conductors and precisely fitting RJ-45 connectors to minimize connection loss. Its flat design and robust sheathing allow flexible routing in tight spaces and improved concealment behind skirting boards and under floor coverings. Gold-plated contacts deliver consistent conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term use.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and network equipment at Cat6 speeds
• Wiring in rooms where a low-profile cable is needed (behind skirting, under carpet)
• Home and small office LANs requiring reliable wired Ethernet
• Temporary or permanent connections where a 2 m cable length is sufficient

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Construction: U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded pairs)
• Length: 2 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Profile: flat cable for low-profile routing
• Jacket color: brown

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 plug into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices until the connector latch clicks into place. Use the 2 m length to place networking devices at close range without excess cable slack. For runs behind skirtings or under carpets, lay the flat cable along the intended route and secure it with appropriate adhesive cable clips or tape if needed. Avoid sharp bends and heavy compression to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 cable for local connections up to typical Gigabit Ethernet distances and avoid running it parallel to mains power cables to reduce potential interference. When installing under carpets or in high-traffic areas, verify that the cable is not pinched or excessively compressed to preserve the conductor geometry.
