Cable de red Goobay CAT 6 conector RJ45 montable in situ STP 5,0–8,5 mm

The Goobay CAT 6 field-installable RJ45 connector with STP is designed for creating reliable Ethernet connections on site. Compatible with cable diameters of 5.0–8.5 mm, this connector supports shielded twisted-pair cabling to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity for high-speed data transmission in home and office networks.

Advantages

This field-installable connector provides a straightforward way to terminate CAT 6 cables without the need for pre-crimped plugs, enabling flexible and timely installations. The STP (shielded twisted pair) design improves protection against crosstalk and external noise, helping to preserve network performance over longer cable runs. The connector’s mechanical design accommodates a range of cable diameters and offers secure contact with conductors to ensure consistent data throughput.

Suitable for

• On-site termination of CAT 6 shielded network cables
• Upgrading or repairing Ethernet runs in offices and homes
• Networking installations requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Custom-length patch cables and field cabling projects

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6 compatible RJ45 connector
• Shielding: STP (shielded twisted pair)
• Supported cable outer diameter: 5.0–8.5 mm
• Contact arrangement: 8-position, 8-contact (8P8C) compatible
• Application: Ethernet data transmission up to CAT 6 performance levels

How to use

Prepare the shielded CAT 6 cable by stripping the outer jacket to expose the foil shield and twisted pairs, leaving enough conductor length to reach the contacts. Fold back the foil shield and position the pairs according to the connector’s wiring scheme. Insert the conductors into the connector until they seat fully, then secure the shield and outer jacket according to the connector’s assembly method. Use the recommended crimping or locking tool for the connector to complete the termination and verify continuity with a network cable tester before final installation.

Recommendations

For best results, use this connector with shielded CAT 6 cables of the specified diameter range and follow standard wiring color codes. Ensure the foil shield has good contact with the connector housing to maintain shielding effectiveness. Test each terminated cable with a certified tester to verify pair integrity and performance.
